Purpose of the Law
The TAMA Law was enacted to:

Encourage the scientific development, research, and regulation of traditional and alternative medicine in the Philippines.

Ensure that Filipino patients have safe, effective, and accessible natural healthcare options.

Protect the cultural heritage of traditional healing practices while maintaining modern standards of safety and efficacy.

Establish the Philippine Institute of Traditional and Alternative Health Care (PITAHC) under the Department of Health (DOH) as the main regulatory and research body.

THE
FOUNDER'S STORY
In today’s world, modern healthcare has become a luxury — expensive, far from reach, and often out of touch with how most Filipinos live. Many families still struggle to afford treatment or access hospitals when they need them most.
We believe healing shouldn’t be that way.
That’s why, inspired by the Traditional and Alternative Medicine Act (TAMA Law, R.A. 8423), we set out to create natural, science-based products that make healthcare effective, affordable, and accessible for every Filipino.
Our journey began with a simple act of faith.
I grew up in the mountains, where hospitals were far and poverty was part of everyday life. When someone got sick, we turned to the herbs around us — nature’s own medicine — because that was all our family had.
At 14, I left the mountains to study in town and later earned my credentials as an Alternative Medicine Doctor. While studying, I served as a church missionary — going house to house, village to village — sharing God’s Word and helping those in need. Those years taught me faith, discipline, and a deep respect for how God designed nature to heal.
When my youngest child suffered from a skin irritation, I created a simple blend: kakawate for allergy, citronella for inflammation, akapulko for fungi, ginger for circulation, and guava for wound healing. That became Orion Herbal Oil, a remedy that started from my family has now grown into an FDA-approved company that helps thousands of Filipinos — the first of many products that would grow into Orion Herbal Healing Product Center.

Today, we continue that mission — to bring God’s natural healing closer to Filipino homes, combining faith, nature, and science. Because in the end, God is the true Healer — and we are only His instruments.
